The Calypte offers a lively and progressive  twin-fin experience with more of a focus on high-performance. 
Inspired by Torren and Aiyana's Indonesian archipelago boat trip, the board addresses the need for a fresh surfing sensation, particularly in challenging waves at shallow reef-passes and atolls. Through multiple iterations, the design evolved to feature a rounded nose, consistent rail outline, and plan shape. The rail remains even along most of the board's length, with a subtle "wing" in the final quarter enhancing back foot manoeuvrability, giving the board heightened responsiveness and control in the pocket.
The versatile rounded squash tail accommodates diverse wave conditions. Two rocker options are available: a pronounced version for sharp turns in faster waves (known as "B" rocker or boat rocker), and an "A" rocker (flatter nose entry) rocker for smoother rides in milder conditions. Notably, all Calypte boards boast a double stringer blank construction, offering flexibility and fortified fin boxes for enhanced durability.
